Get A Sneak Peek At Club Paris

Paris Hilton's Club Scheduled To Open New Year's Eve

ORLANDO, Fla. -- For the first time, WESH NewsChannel 2 is taking you inside Paris Hilton's new nightclub, a place that promises to revitalize nightlife in downtown Orlando.

Hilton is an heir to the hotel chain fortune, a TV star and one of the popular faces on magazines around the globe. Hilton will be in Orlando for the premier and the New Year's Eve bash in the world's first Club Paris.

The old Church Street Station is getting an overhaul and will be able to handle a crowd of 1,500 people for what could be the biggest New Year's Eve party in Orlando history.

Workers are tuning up a new sound system and wiping down the old Orchid Garden to give it a facelift for the new face on the world party scene.

Hilton's Web site promises a Club Paris premier Dec. 30 and a public party, hosted by the hotel heiress, on New Year's Eve.

She will have her own dance floor and club owner Fred Khalilian said a balcony in the club will be her party central. She will visit the club twice a month and she has had a role in the design.

"She's got to like it, and one of the things that she really liked about my idea was that she's more involved in this than any other project that's been submitted to her," Khalilian said.

Khalilian and Hilton passed on building the club near Disney figuring downtown would appeal most to locals.

"It's not about the tourists. We love the tourists. We appreciate the tourists. This is about us," Khalilian said.

For her part, Hilton not only gets a seven-figure salary, she also gets a new toy -- a new Ferrari trimmed in pink.

For crowd control, Club Park already has a permit to close Garland Avenue between Church Street and South Street for the parties. The club's owner has a contract to pay nearly 40 Orlando police officers $21,000 for security New Year's week. The new downtown nightclub will create 115 new jobs. A job fair is set for Dec. 4.

Hilton is also expected to be at the club several times a month, including a February visit when she'll release her new record. Seven other clubs are planned, including one in, where else, Paris.
